World Mongol 2023-2024 Scholarship Program Wraps Up

The "World Mongol" scholarship, jointly implemented by the World Mongol Federation and the Elbegdorj Institute, was conducted for the second year from October 2023 to May 2024, spanning a total of eight months. This program included undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students of World Mongol ethnicity (Buryatia, Kalmykia, Altai, Southern Mongolia) studying in Mongolia. Additionally, Mongolian youth who relocated to Mongolia from Russia due to global circumstances were supported in their studies. The scholarship covered specific tuition fees, and participants received 10% of the scholarship amount at the end of the program based on their participation.

A total of 10 young individuals received tuition fee assistance through the scholarship program. Furthermore, they participated in a 5-month initiative designed to help them adapt to Mongolian conditions, deepen their understanding of Mongolian culture and history, foster friendships, and establish future collaborations. This year, participants were divided into teams and implemented micro-projects benefiting Mongolian society.

As part of the program, World Mongol students engaged in various activities, including a trip to experience Tsagaan Sar with a herder family, a lecture about Mongolians, a mountain hike, visits to the State Palace, and the NEPKO press company.
